PIER 39 invites you to enjoy a fun-filled Independence Day celebration. Rock out with 'Take 2' from 1-4pm followed by San Francisco's favorite 80's cover band, 'Tainted Love' from 6-9:30pm. Immediately after the entertainment look to the sky as the City of San Francisco lights up the night with it's Firework's Spectacular, accompanied by a musical simulcast from KISS FM 98.1. American Sailing League redefines sailboat racing with its Championship Series at PIER 39 on the San Francisco Bay. These 18' customized sailboats are among the fastest and most exciting in the sport today. Their races combine all of the athletic skill of the X-Games with the breakneck speed and spectacular wipeouts of NASCAR.  All races will run in full view at the Bay end of PIER 39, with these skiffs reaching more than three times the speed of average sailing yachts.

PIER 39 celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Viva Las Americas. This festive event showcases traditional dance and music performances from Mexico, Central and South America. PIER 39's Tree Lighting Celebration will feature Bay Area groups performing seasonal favorites.
