Aquarium of The Bay is a unique educational and entertainment facility dedicated to the rich and diverse aquatic life of the San Francisco Bay and its surrounding waters. At Aquarium of The Bay, students are encouraged to explore the mysterious world beneath the surface of the Bay, during specialized classes and guided tours of the Aquarium. A staff of expert naturalists is on hand to answer questions and encourage hands-on experiences with sea stars, sea urchins and leopard sharks. Classes are typically 1-hour in length.

San Francisco Bay Cruise Adventure A 60-minute cruise, filled with interesting and historic San Francisco narration. See the Golden Gate Bridge up close as you sail underneath this historic span. You’ll also learn about the islands of San Francisco Bay, including Alcatraz and Angel Island, sail past Sausalito in Marin County and experience the beautiful skyline of San Francisco. Blue & Gold Fleet offers groups the opportunity to charter their vessels for private events such as grad nights and proms.
Angel Island From the Civil War to the Cold War, Angel Island served as a military installation and an immigration station becoming an important part of the San Francisco Bay Area history. Today, Angel Island is a California State Park, preserving the history of the past for all of us to experience.

Marine Mammal Center Headquartered in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Sausalito, California, The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit hospital dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals, and to the research of their health and diseases. Since 1975, volunteers and staff have treated more than 12,000 California sea lions, elephant seals, porpoises, and other marine mammals, along 600-miles of coastline stretching from Mendocino County to San Luis Obispo County. Staff and volunteers uniquely combine rehabilitation with scientific discovery and education programs to advance the understanding of marine mammal health, ocean health and conservation. The Center is funded primarily by grants, private donations, and memberships. Program fees support one-third of the Education Department’s budget.
Sea Lions in The City The Marine Mammal Center has special educational programs where students can observe California sea lions up close in the wild at PIER 39, learning about their behavior. Students will discover their natural history, studying a sea lion skeleton, pelts and skull. Set aside additional time to visit the PIER 39 Marine Mammal Interpretive Center and Store.
