Aquarium of the Bay

Blue & Gold Fleet

Frequent Flyers
Frequent Flyers is a bungee trampoline that is fun for all ages. Participants can safely jump up to 20 feet in the air and try aerial acrobatics, if so inspired. San Francisco Carousel
The San Francisco Carousel, designed and handcrafted in Italy by Bertazzon Company, features hand-painted ceiling panels of San Francisco's famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Chinatown, Alcatraz and the popular California sea lions at PIER 39. It is the only carousel in the country that has artistic renderings of its home city. Located at the Bay end of PIER 39, the carousel can accommodate up to 50 passengers. Eighteen hundred twinkling lights illuminate the carousel, which features classic moving horses, rocking chariots and swings. Cost per ride is $3.00.
Sea Lions
The world-renowned sea lions in PIER 39's West Marina have been endearingly coined, "Sea Lebrities." After the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the boisterously barking pinnipeds started arriving in droves, taking over K-Dock in January 1990. Due to a plentiful supply of herring, the available dock space and a protected environment, the population grew to more than 300 within a few months. Free educational talks, provided by Marine Mammal Center docents, are available year-round on weekends from 11 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting. Call 415.705.5500.
Street Performers and Entrance Plaza Musicians
Since the ribbon-cutting in 1978, PIER 39 is the ideal place to watch San Francisco's world-famous street performers. These multi-talented tricksters, magicians, jugglers, comedians and musicans entertain PIER 39 visitors daily at the Crystal Geyser ALPINE SPRING WATER Stage. Theatre 39
Theatre 39 is a 275 seat theatre that is located above the PIER 39 Entrance Plaza on Level 2. The lounge seating affords everyone a good view of the theatrical performance. Insignificant Others is the engagement presently performing at Theatre 39 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $49 or $39 and group rates are available. This romantic comedy follows the stories of five friends – two gay men and three straight women – who move to San Francisco from the Midwest. World-renowned romantic revelers Tony n’ Tina exchange vows and take a bow at PIER 39 in San Francisco. Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, the popular dinner comedy performs for local, national and international visitors at Swiss Louis Italian & Seafood Restaurant. Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is the original interactive comedy hit where audience members play the roles of “invited guests” at a hilarious wedding ceremony. Turbo Ride
Turbo Ride creates a thrilling adventure through the magic of films and stimulation technology where the hydraulic seats move in-sync with the action on the big-screen.
