PIER 39 Holiday Tree Lighting *NEW DATE

PIER 39's Holiday Tree Lighting will feature a festive line-up of groups performing seasonal favorites from around the world.  The enchanting entertainment will include holiday traditions from Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa.  Children can also enjoy free activities including face painting, letters to Santa, crafts, and photos with Santa.  PIER 39's majestic tree, adorned with 400 glistening ornaments, 500 bows and 2,000 twinkling LED lights will be lit at 5:30pm in the Entrance Plaza by NBC Bay Area's Chief Meteorologist, John Farley.  Sponsored by The Examiner, Coca-Cola, Crystal Geyser ALPINE SPRING WATER, Telemundo, Intera and CrocPond.



Golden Anniversary of the Sea Lions' Arrival

PIER 39 celebrates the 19th Golden Anniversary of the Sea Lions' arrival with additional on-site Marine Mammal Center docents and the Whale Bus.

Tulipmania
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 to Monday, February 16, 2009
Tulipmania returns in full bloom at PIER 39 with guided tours daily at 10am.  This year's collection will feature flowers of every color combination conceivable including Apricot Beauties, Texas Flames, Purple Princes, Flaming Parrots, Swan Wings, Burgundy Lace and more.  The tulips will be topped with winter vegetables including lettuce, parsley, celery and red chard.
