SAN FRANCISCO – PIER 39 welcomes DOUGHP Cookie Dough Bar to our menu of sweet treats.

DOUGHP is the latest addition to PIER 39’s assortment of snack shops and it just might be the most unique!  DOUGHP (think…”that’s dope!”) is uniting cookie dough lovers in a guilt-free, nostalgic and crazy fun experience.  DOUGHP takes cookie dough to the next level by making cookie dough that is both safe and ridiculously fun to eat.  By ditching the eggs and heat-treating the flour, you can dive right in without worrying about getting sick (like mom always warned you about). It also bakes up as a traditional cookie, just pop it in the oven.

Each month DOUGHP rolls out new flavors, always having a minimum of six at a time.  Since the company began, there have been over 25 unique flavors, often tied to recognizable flavors of the season.  There are also eight toppings and four sauces available to create your perfect cookie dough scoop in a cup or a cone.  DOUGHP is available for delivery locally.  All of the dough is mixed at The Bread Project, a non-profit supporting low-income individuals in the Bay Area.

Having visited PIER 39 since she was a child, owner Kelsey Witherow ditched a 10-year career in high tech to follow her sweet tooth. Opening a shop at PIER 39 for this Bay Area native is “the icing on the cookie dough” and she is excited to bring her concept, the first in San Francisco, to both locals and tourists alike with a Grand Opening on Saturday, February 17.  More info here.
